Each human has emotions created for him to play an important function. Happiness, anger, sadness, jealousy, loneliness and many others are so called revealer of what happens to the environment. They are not bad but they need right control in order to keep ourselves intact. There are times that we experience different emotions and our job is to use them to proper purpose so that it will end up helpful instead of hurtful to us and those surrounds us. The Bible teaches us to live a self-controlled life. The verse in Proverbs 25:8 says, “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls”. The word rule or self-control is atsar in Hebrew means to restrain, retain. It also means restraint exercised over one’s own impulses, emotions or desires.
